Rafael Rivera - Board Member

Rafael Rivera is an Organization Development Consultant and Executive Coach. Mr. Rivera began his career as a Community Organizer around HIV/AIDS issues in upstate New York. He worked for over 25 years at the National Education Association in a number of roles: HIV/AIDS Project Coordinator for the NEA Health Information Network, Senior Professional Associate in Human and Civil Rights and Organizational Specialist in Member and Affiliate Services.
Since 2016 Mr. Rivera has worked as an independent consultant, primarily in the public and private sector, specializing in leadership and organization development, organizing, training, professional development, executive coaching and action learning.
Rafael Rivera holds a B.A. in Psychology from Syracuse University, and a Masters Degree in Organization Development from American University in Washington DC. Rafael is also a Professional Certified Coach and is now pursuing the Public Leadership Credential from Harvard University Kennedy School.
