The Face to Face program has been successful, we focus on students in the 7th to 12th grade in the Northern Virginia region. Face to face increases students access to HIV Counseling, offers HIV/STI testing for people with and without insurance, also allows us to refer students to other facilities. This program provides linkage to mental health counselors, case managers, and more. The curriculum is a basic HIV/AIDS 101 class, offered with appropriate age level information, usually accompanied by a Person Living with AIDS to speak on the personal challenges of living with the disease. There is a specific need for students to learn the end result of acquiring any infectious disease, although you may live with the infection for years it is better all together to avoid such dilemma.
